I have a Dx9 where the trainer 3.5mm socket has given up ... yes I have tried several leads.. wireless trainer still works so I only use this when I need and can

I guess my issue is a 'known' fault.... it's not however going anywhere nearly Horizon repair centre .... wherever that is

A huge thanks to the HOEA club to allow our Autogyro flyin. Usual suspects. Great to meet up again and rewarding to help Rob and his Atom take to the air. Great test flight by Graham and so good to finally see Tim's DAG fly so well. Bring onnPld Warden on the 22nd Oct

So tomorrow Guys, entry to site at Patrick's farm is via the large green gates, should be open then into lane , turn right and through silver gates which could be locked... ring me on 07781974836

See you there, I will be there from about 9.30am

11/09/2017 21:28:10

Hi All,

So here we go with the details of our Autogyro Flyin On Sunday Sept 17th:

Location is at our club flying site which is located behind the Patrick's Farm Craft Centre entrance - Large Green Gates off the B4104 east of Hampton in Arden. Postcode B92 0LT. Once you are through these which should be open turn right then follow the lane, through some silver farm gates and then along the lane a few metres til you see our parking site. Park up and walk up the ramp into the field.

Format for the day will be informal fly off the peg, without transmitter control if your 2.4. If your 35Mz then we operate a peg board system - peg on to fly.

Pilot's briefing and welcome at 10.00am with flying from 11.00 until 6.00pm if you want.

Club members will also be flying but we will encourage visiting autogyro's to take priority whenever possible.

Here's a pic of the site to wet the interest and hopefully a great day and weather to come.

Yep they are mine !, build with my flying wing man Tim..

Note however All models are inspired by a Genius design by the Master Richard Harris ...the Whippit. Without this fantastic model the Calidus, AC20s and the latest fleet of WW2 models would not be possible.....

Any Questions ask away in the RC Groups threads for these models.

Hopefully they will take to the air again at our meeting on the 17th....

Good luck

Absolutely !!! Hopefully the regular auto nut will be in full attendance and the more people looking for help the better. None of us would have got as far without help so please all come along , even if your just curious

Don't be put off by making blades, they are straight forward if you follow Rich guidelines. Just make sure they are balanced and you will be fine

Nose up would suggest adding a little more neg shim to blades. Try adding 0.4mm. If better add a bit more

So over the winter I pondered the flight characteristics of my original large Revolver. Look great in the air but a bit floaty on the large Gemini blades.

I decided to try the 6mm blades cut down a bit. Yep flys but inconsistent. Maybe blade flex ??

Plan C was 9mm blades for stiffness but shorter.

Bingo, flew yesterday and perfect, great lift , good spin up and much better forward speed without being excessive. Great thing about these it's trial en error

Finished front

My 2 Panthers have Servo Brass ferrules at the indicated balance point then the full model is suspended on a wire passed through the ferrule. They balance slightly nose down

Nice one Rich, 3 blade looks great.

2 blade setup still WIP... think strong bike clips required for us mortals.

You will have it sorted I am sure then a 2 blade setup would be lovely in the air with the characteristic blade slap. Of my 2 RPGs the 2 blade is by far my favourite!!
