Thread: Dave Stephens having fun in the replica Mustang
We need a new poll, " How many people are green with envy after watching that " beautifull flying especially when in formation with the spitfire.
Thread: Be honest! How many unstarted kits do you have?
I've only got 2 , both of them old keil kraft free flight kits that I dont want to start because they are ones that I built as a kid. May copy the parts and build them one day. Ahh nostalgia.
Thread: Help - Removing SolarTrim
Try to warm it with a hot wet cloth before you start to peel it or gentle heat from a hair dryer . Can work sometimes but dont overdo it or you may damage/lift the covering underneath.
Got it now , missed out the bit where you type in a title...doh.
Thread: Noisy 2 stroke
Just engines have a selection of mufflers/silencers etc. to fit the OS/SC/ASP engines. Just Engines Have you tried reproping with a larger diameter prop, should get the noise down a bit.

yes please , will use it for an air cadet project...
Thread: Hunting Percival Pembroke?
Could well have been a Pembroke as there is one based at Shoreham (G-BNPH) and the sound is quite noticable . My Dad was a technician on them at 60 Sqn in the late 70s early 80s .
Thread: History of Flight.
The subjects that you need to cover are generally "who did it first" ie Wright brothers , Caleys glider, etc. I assume that you remember History of flight from when you did your first class cadet , think of the subjects that you covered then and expand on those.
Thread: Great video
Late again ...as always ,funny ending though.
Found this on the web....make sure you watch all of it, the end is great. Germany
Thread: How can I consistently & accurately cut plywood?
When cutting thin ply (well most materials to that mater) I generally cut the piece slightly oversize by a fraction and then sand back to the line using a sanding block, works well and allows for slight cutting errors.
Thread: Other interests
As the caption says "What else do you do with your spare time" . I will start the ball rolling, As well as being a confirmed 'shed head' I instruct at the local Air Cadet squadron teaching the new cadets the ways of the airforce and how thing fly etc. so the content of RCM&E is often refered to.
Thread: What do you listen to?
Still looking forward to GM concert when it happens..Have got a chanter kicking about and a "teach yourself the pipes book" that I pick up every now and then (when the wifes out !!) The sound of the pipes still sends a chill down my spine.
I've got a couple of the Royal Scots CDs . Fantastic inspirational music, takes me back to my days on the parade square...George Michael also brilliant, the man is a great song writer/performer.Saw him in concert a couple of years ago and was going to see him last year before he was taken ill, tickets still valid awaiting a new date for his symphonic concert.
Classic FM on Dab is a fantastic audio experience. My tiny workshop becomes the Albert Hall (well almost!!)
