Ken also the American flag PC that I bought off you didn’t last too long as I didn’t close top hatch properly and it came off just after launching and went straight through prop resulting in mid air explosion 😂
Still have my PC Mk2

I had looked at a ripmax one but motor mount was different and it didn’t have the holes in wings to throw it.
Must have changed the design.
The wing has two rectangle holes all the way through near the centre, I’m guessing to hold model as throwing it.
Can anyone help me identify which company made this Mustang?
Any details on motor too?
Wingspan - 47”
length - 40”
Motor - HiModel
Width -35.4mm, back of motor to start of shaft - 34mm, Shaft 5mm

Has anyone got actual flight experience with the Futaba R3106GF?
|Thread: Mini Blitz|
To show the size difference, here's my finished Micro and part built Mini. The rear of wing is lined up with one another.
Since I completed my Micro Blitz a few days ago and haven’t managed to maiden it yet I thought I’d get straight on with building the Mini Blitz too The build will be the same as the Micro using an extra rib to sandwich the fins in between. Next time I build either of these models I’m just going to make solid sheet wings as will save a lot of hassle and with brushless motors the extra weight will be cancelled out with loads of POWER
Finished my Micro Blitz tonight she's ready for maiden
Running on 2s @ 40w so that works out about 100w per lb so should go ok.
Here's my install with 2s 450mah lipo
All covered now
I need to install the horns on to the elevons and tape them on and then I can connect the servo pushrods followed by gluing the servo cover on and I also still haven’t glued fins in.

As mentioned in previous post when I make the mini I’m going to use the stock motor from a radjet that I never used. Probablys with a 5x5 prop or their abouts on 3s 1300.
Ken can you remember the power figures from your radjet? I know you had standard motor on 3s but what prop and watts/amps did it produce?
What’s your setup Ken?
My progress so far -
The fins are still removable and I will decide weather to leave them like that or permanently glue them in after I cover it. Hatch has a tongue at front and earth magnets at the rear, Servo arms will come out of the holes in fuz side and be made to measure wire with Z bends at both ends.
I got all my wood for both the micro and mini from Phill’s models Ken. I even cheated for the elevens as I bought pre shaped aileron strip and just cut it down to the correct size. The motor and esc for the micro I already had and for the mini I’m going to use the motor that came with my radjet that I never used.
Nice to see you back at the building board Kenny. I notice you’ve went down the same route as me, putting in an extra rib to slot fins in between
I’m getting well on with my micro blitz but haven’t took any recent pics. The servos are in and I’ve just finished the top hatch. It’s secured with a tongue at the front and is held at the back by earth magnets. Next is to start covering it and then tape on elevens and connect to servos before I can glue the rear deck on.
I also bought enough wood to make the mini so will start that soon too.
Paulo if you look closely at all my pics you might see that the fuz at the front are different lengths. I made fuz sides as plan but then when installing motor I had the same problem that the prop would hit fuz sides. I thought about putting in another motor former but instead I just chopped off about 10mm from the side cheeks at either side of fuz.
Glued fuz sides on to wing then the motor former and motor.
Motor is an 1811 2900kv, 6amp esc that I took out of a converted Multiplex Fox. I ran that on 2s swinging a 6x4 producing around 40w. Might put a smaller prop on.
Then sheeted the underside
Next is to make the top hatch, It will be a single piece of balsa with a tongue of ply at front that will slot under and held down at the rear with earth magnets on a piece of ply. Also need to sort some servos.

Cracking deal this one
"As pictured very original good condition, this has futaba gear, it's not been flown for a while, if you know about it you can see its not damaged or anything"

The way I’ve made mine Rene with the extra rib, I could just slot the fins in as they are a tight push fit and I haven’t glued them in yet. I’m installing the fins without the stated angle, mine are straight vertical.

Forgot the wife was at work tonight, so back out came the balsa
I cut out 2 fins and the way I've decided to do it is to put another rib in just far enough away from another one so I can slide fins in straight vertical. I'll probably cover the wing first then glue the fins in.
I also cut out 2 fuz sides and dry fitted them.
