Hi David,
The reason for 2.4ghz only is because the anglian model flying club is less than a mile away.......and this club is on the next field.........

like i said the writing in the specs was all in japanese........................but never mind new motor is rated to 12V so things should be alot better...................

Hi, I am keeping the gearbox and i'm running 3S 2400mah 11.1v with the hong kong motor i'm getting well over 1/2 an hours flyin on one battery prop size is 9x5 all in all goes very well...............just need to fly it with feathering the throttle all the time..................hence the motor change...............gonna buy the recomended esc next week then hopefully the excessive over heating should disappear..........................

its brushless.......story goes...bought kyosho sports spree came with brushed motor an gearbox changed that for an ebay hongkong brushless motor with the original gearbox ,very little info on the motor all in funny writing..... model flys great can fly all day on 1/4 to 1/2 throttle any more and things get very hot.......did a bit of research on the motor and maximum volts it can handle is 9.6volts so bought the motor in the pic and hence the above questions..............

Ok............ so how about if i've got a mini and want to put a jaguar engine in it and i've only got a mini clutch an gearbox  to use......................could i down prop it so that it doesn't draw 40 amps and only uses 30 amps? its also goin through a reduction box if that makes any difference..................
22/11/2008 23:11:00

Hi,

Just a quick question reguarding Amp ratings............i've just bought a larger motor 4 my low wing trainer which says that it recommends a 40A esc...............could it run on say a 30A  esc......or would it overheat?

Hi Phil, its quite an old engine and it is was running rich, plus a wrong prop choice was making it bog down a bit, plus its the first i/c engine i've ever played with.....................although beginning to wish that i hadn't put this post and video on this site by all the  bad vibe that iv'e received....................
16/11/2008 18:07:00
considering its our own private field and its my dog you lot seem to worry to much and as 4 the mast gettin damaged it hasn't been used for years and is soon to be removed.......
16/11/2008 10:12:00

I've upgraded to 2.4ghz with all my models, had a glitch on take off with the seagull but not at that field.....as for that radio mast thing, never had a glitch there, although i've nearly flown into it a couple of times......in the process of putting a landing strip in the middle of that field, but we might have to get christmas out of the way first according to the wife..........

Happy Flying................

Yeah first ever attempt with the trainer, have been flyin 450 size heli's for about a year an a half.....no 3d though and plenty of crashes so thought fixed wing was the way to go..........  good luck with the training tommorrow....not a member myself to any clubs sort of self taught at that field on the video mate of mine owns 12 Acre's so didn't find the need to join a club But it is something i'm gonna look into..............
