Thread: Searching for a IC ducted fan plan from the 90s Chris Golds?
07/08/2019 20:46:23

Hi Guy, that's strange I have just ordered the Paul Gray ic ducted fan Hawk plans from Sarik just because i built one years ago and still have a couple of Micro-Mold ducted fan units in the drawer.

Hope you have fun with your trip down memory lane,

Chris.C.

Hello all, the review of the Panic was good but i thought my original Panic had a flap on the top wing that was mixed with elevator not all four aileron as mentioned as original. Is my memory playing tricks with me ?

Have a good weekend all,

Thread: Suggestions for replacing dead Wots Wot
26/02/2019 23:00:00

Hi, second the SiG Sundancer, lovely kit, build quality much better than the WotsWot, the only let down was the covering on mine was adrift in a few places, easy to sort with an iron though.

Thread: Fuel Tubing
04/02/2019 18:57:00
Brilliant, thank you all very much. Never thought of using Tygon, the tubing that came with the engine is a semi-rigid polyurethane tubing but no reason why Tygon will not work.
Thanks again

Thread: Fuel proofer for petrol?
29/09/2018 19:45:04
Sorry meant to add, petrol evaporates really quickly so it just leaves a trace of oil that wipes off the gloss varnish.

I use Polyurethane varnish, not the fast drying one the spirit based varnish.

Thread: Diesel fuel - local
14/08/2018 00:57:57
Hi John just had a thought ( does not happen often) you can buy ether from ebay, all you need is parrafin and castor oil to blend your own in equal parts. We used to do this years ago when chemists were happy supplying ether in brown glass bottles.
