Thread: Gordon Whitehead
Hi Gordon, my Schoolmaster was also built from the plan, and it would have been in 1965 or 66. I think it used a Cox 049 and it was fitted with RCS single channel radio and an Elmic Conquest escapement. It was a great flyer.
Thread: What is going on with Royal Mail ??????????
When my latest 'toy' from HK arrived yesterday the Parcel Force chap said "I don't seem to have been here for ages". To me that means I'm not ordering nearly enough stuff, although my wife says different!
Parcel Force have always delivered within the one hour time slot shown on the app and I've got to know the driver well enough for a brief chat, another happy customer
Have also had good service from DPD, Hermes etc although their drivers always seem to be in much more of a rush. I feel sorry for them, always under pressure and trying their best but not always managing to keep all the customers happy.
Thread: Single Channel Radio Control - RH Warring
My first single channel set was an RCS Guidance System and I later bought a MacGregor set. Here's me with my Ken Willard designed Schoolmaster, one of my later single channel models. I would think it was around 1967.

Thread: Any idea what the model is?
That's very helpful thanks. The model owner (Nick) does use this forum was was unable to upload the photos so he asked me to do it, He might well appear and comment himself
I think you're right Alan, it certainly looks spot on to me. Thanks very much
A club-mate has been gifted a part built model but has no idea what it is and is wondering if anyone can help. He says it's 62" span and has been beautifully built, presumably for around a 60 size I/C engine. It's mostly there but he has no idea of the fin shape or size, or canopy style.
Any help appreciated.

Thread: Avro Shackleton Mk3 PH3
Wow, just Wow! I had a flight in a Mk3 when I was in the cadets back in the mid 60's, We spent a week at RAF Kinloss and got to 'help' maintain them.
Thread: Multiplex Cockpit Sx 9
I think it's only the Technical Forum that's not available in English isn't it, and I imagine that would be difficult to do as lots of people (mostly German) contribute. All the manuals and downloads are available in several languages as far as I know but the Cockpit SX manual is certainly very basic. There is more info in the latest online manual than there was when they first came out but I'm sure the lack of detail means there are lots of things possible with the tx that many of us don't know about. My early Royal Evo and the previous Cockpit (the C2) came with very thorough printed manuals but I suppose it's the problem of costs that prevented something similar with the C3.
Although the Multiplex website can be viewed in English sadly the forum can't, but Chrome does a reasonable job of translating it. Max Z is quite right, many of the people on the forum will answer English questions.
Capt Kremen, a couple of our members are using Gyro 3s so might be able to help if you get stuck
I can't help you I'm afraid as I've never used the Copilot, I think you need Frank Skilbeck. Or try the Multiplex technical forum (http://technikforum.multiplex-rc.de/)
It's a fun way of winding up the club mates you're flying alongside!
One of the things you can do with the 1.4 firmware is add your own WAV files to any switch. They are model dependant not global so I added this one for when I'm flying my EDF F-16:
Thread: MULTIPLEX SX12 UPGRADE
Just done the free software update on my SX9, all works well. Will need to read the manual to understand some of the extra functions fully but most of it is straightforward.

All looking good
Thread: Delivery Charges
Many years ago I worked on the Isle of Wight for a while and used to travel over on the ferry from Portsmouth every day. I built up quite a nice little sideline taking stuff over for people as goods were often cheaper on the mainland even before delivery charges/problems. There's a price to pay for living in paradise!

Thread: balsa cabin
!978...the year I returned to modelling after the usual girls/motorbikes/cars/wife/babies break...a great year!
Oh and a thumbs up for Balsa Cabin as well.
