Nearly already to go.

the cowl has been leaded up to its max by previous owner

Just the c-g to check and were good to go

if it’s good I may treat it to some retracts

Thread: Toni Clarke fuel tank - how do they go together ?
29/09/2019 13:14:00

Went there thirty years ago to a Firework night

got towed out by a tractor

never been back

29/09/2019 11:37:38

That’s silly as it’s been raining

29/09/2019 11:20:14

Your not bolting the Fourth bridge ,,, don’t over tighten or you may cut a hole in the tank . Just nip it up.

could use pliers on the barb of the nipple just don’t sqash it or snag it

29/09/2019 11:15:42

Oh put the nuts on the out side

29/09/2019 11:06:35

Put a bit of soft wire or solder through the tank and slide the bits into position on the wire

I couldn’t find a blue tank so have put in a 4oz unknown make of tank.

Im pretty sure you could a bigger tank. But then how long do you really want to fly for..

Yep the first pic was a bit misleading,,,

I put the nut on the rear bolt just for the picture

keeps you on your toes

Never felt need for sandpaper can’t be bothered to make nuts finger friendly

I have a admission to make,,

in my haste to fill out a pilot booking form I weighed the plane and wings separate with a old spring balance

curiosity got better of me this morning and have re done it with wings on

fuel tank is half full and no smoke oil in that tank

With it swinging in the breeze it goes between 9.3 and 9.43 kg

Cymaz I have sent video via messages

24/09/2019 08:54:41

I have owned the original one piece wing and two of the next generation but not the very latest

I am happy with what I have it does what I need it to do

so for now

I am out

24/09/2019 08:49:04

Mine has two additional front bolts just behind the spar,,,,,

I only use the rear cover to access the wing servos leads and nuts,,,,

if the nuts were in front of the spar I think I would have to drop the front section of the cover

It may be worth a dummy run of wing fitting before you glue in any bolts

I only use those and never bother with the rear ones
