Thread: Open Pilot CC3D
Thank you Dick,
I looked through that forum and the sugestion is that the drivers do not work properly with Windows 7. My computer is running on Windows 7. I am going to upgrade to Windows 10 and try again.
Can any one help?
I have a Night Hawk 250 with an Open Pilot CC3d Evo Flight controller.
I have downloaded the software to my computer but every time I try to open the download on my computer a message comes up ' Openpilotgcs exe has stopped working'.
As far as I am aware the computer says it has downloaded correctly but it will not run. Has any one any idea what I may be doing wrong.

Thread: prop reamer?
Thank you both. I have purchased one today.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a steped reamer to open up the hole in my propellers please? If I drill the hole it always comes out off centre.
Thread: spektrum Dx6i problem?/ servo movement
Hi again, I have checked my transmitter again and tried another model memory and the travel on the servo and the monitor screen is normal. I have cleared the memory on the channel I was using and it is now all back to normal.
Thanks again to every one for the advice.
Thank you all for your replies. I cannot check at my transmitter for a few days so I will look at it on Monday and let you know what I find.
Can any one help?. I have a Spektrum Dx6i which has given good service in the past but now is showing a strange problem. For example, when I move the rudder stick it gives more movement at the servo to the left than to the right. I have tried to compensate with the adjustments in the transmitter but nothing changes. I have tried another receiver and another servo and it is the same. I have tried another transmitter and the servo moves equally both ways. Have I done something to the settings on my transmitter or is it time to get it checked out by the manufacturer?
Realy good blog. Inspired me to get on with mine.
Thread: P.R. STOL Mk1/11
Thanks for the advice Martyn K, I will be watching your blog.
It looks as if I will be using Litespan then. Thanks everyone for the advice.
Hi everyone, I feel I have had a head start on my build as I started before the STOL was nominated. I am building as the plan but it will be powered by an electric motor. I am starting with the Mk1 three channel configuration and then adding the Mk 11 wing at a later date. I do have a Mk 1 plan from the early days and the Mk 11 plan. I have found some discrepancies on the plans but they are not too much to sort out. (some formers are drawn the wrong size etc.,) I intend to fly the Mk 1 as a three channel and then adding the Mk 11 wing and flying with ailerons. I am intending to cover my model with dope and tissue but does anyone know if the more modern coverings would be as good
Good luck to every one building,

Well done Martyn.
I will be building the STOL Mk 11. I have already got the plan and CNC wood pack.
I must warn every one the CNC pack I received was OK on the Mk 11 wing ribs, but the parts for the fuselage were all wrong. Unfortunately My Hobby Store were not able to help me when I brought the matter to their attention. I think it will be better for people to cut their own parts but do not take for granted that the shaped parts on the plans are 100% correct.

Thanks every one, I have googled Top Flight Contender and apart from the dihedral in the wings it does look like the pictures. I assume the dihedral was to help novice flyers.
I will go with what I have and get this one up in the air soon.
