Thread: Brian Winch

I received an e-mail from him on 20/8/19. He seems to have been working to the bitter end. I will miss his Oily Hands column in RCM&E. Lots of down to earth sensible advice, he will be sadly missed by all his readers around the world. sad

Thread: Wot 4 xl so it's a OS 91 surpass or DLE 20 petrol......Thoughts and advice needed
22/08/2019 15:21:02

90 to 120 2 or 4 stroke?. I always thought that a 90 4 stroke is equal to a 60 2 stroke and a 120 4 stroke being equal to a 80 2 stroke. So why won't a 91 2 stroke fly the plane O.K?. Or am I being a bit simple??. smile p

I've just bought a complete and airworthy version off Facebook for pocket money. Everything is there but I need to replace the Magnum GP 40 with my spare ASP 30 F.S. The CG is as it should be with no lead but I need to know what throws you chaps advise for the rudder and elevator. All I need then is some calm weather to maiden it. smiley

Thread: Metal Tanks
30/07/2019 12:52:48

Can you use EMPTY beer cans to make tanks?. Thin, light and pliable , easily worked and the new low temp "solder" available from a well know auction site should do the trick?. What do you think.yes

Thread: James May's program tonight
24/07/2019 22:16:36

Just finished watching it. Brilliant, a program that shows the true ethos of our hobby and its enduring appeal. No plastic, no foam just plans, wood and glue with what looks like Solarfilm covering. The music was even period too, Led ZEP, The Who and I think Enya. Well worth watching. smiley

Thread: Moon landing
23/07/2019 17:23:20

According to my uncle, they always put new doped flaps over the gun ports after a mission. Why?, he said that once the pilot had opened fire he lost 10 mph off his top speed???. I know its not moon landing sorry chaps.

23/07/2019 10:43:48

There are many "moon rock" scientists who spend months in the arctic collecting "moon rocks" to study on earth. Also they are found in the more remote parts of Mother Russia?.

22/07/2019 13:07:30

If the new rover can find the flag and footprints lleft my the previous visits, them surly that is proof that the moon landing did take place?.

21/07/2019 13:08:32

Doc Martin.

My final comment NOT an anti American rant. Watch this and judge for yourself?.

20/07/2019 12:37:05

It was not an anti American rant but an attempt to tell the truth about this fantastic American ? project. All those people who died in order to make this happen should be remembered for the parts they played.

19/07/2019 22:40:31

What about the Nazi war criminal who helped America land on the Moon by developing the V1 and V2 rockets that helped destroy London. Or the 60,000 slaves who died building these rockets or the concentration camp inmates who were experimented on to develop the basis for some of the space research on the effects on the human body of cold, pressure and the lack of oxygen. Well done America.
