Thread: Spring is here - what is stopping you from flying?
30/04/2014 17:33:43

I just wish that some one would come up with a quick charging lipo. With more batteries for flying it's still the time between charging and flying that hangs most heavy. Still I save time not having to clean gunk off my models before loading them into the car.

If you walk away from it, it isn't a crash. Good luck to the pilot.

Thread: What kind of plane for high gusty winds?
27/04/2014 11:23:29

I'd go for a Bogey every time, they're very hard to destroy and believe me, I've tried. They're the only useful thing to come out of 'Estate Agents' signs.

Looks like a publicity stunt, the TV company even forgot to take their logo off the tail.

Thread: Does anyone have any experience with Zippy Flightmax lipos (good/bad)
24/04/2014 10:17:11

Just received four more from HobbyKing, charging them now before going flying. With 12 of these 1300 mAhs 3S I might be gone for some time.

Thread: What's the main radio brand you fly?
20/04/2014 08:10:32

Still trying to work out how Spectrum, 34%, is running close second to Futaba, 32%?

Thread: Altercation with paraglider

I'm sure I read this article a couple of years ago else where, is it being recycled to wind people up.

Dangerous, those boots are so last decade.

Thread: My Discovery has no hinges ? Is this right or am I missing something ?
29/03/2014 08:35:15

Hi Nigel, yes a lot of foamies are hinged this way. Where the foam has broken away run some 'Blenderm' tape but make sure there's plenty of up and down play.

Thread: Chip Shop
23/03/2014 14:41:21

I had hoped that some one would publish the photo of the static 'Chippy' that some wag had fitted with a in-flight refuelling probe.

Thread: Ebay sellers...

Having lived and thoroughly enjoyed the last 35 years living in James Heriot country, try going into a chemist and asking for 'amyl nitrate', it's for silvering my engine officer' see how long your feet remain on the ground.

Without dropping into a sub 3 - 4 Yorkshireman sketch, I remember my Dad having to split razor blades 'cause you couldn't buy one edged versions, let alone scalpels. Mind you could buy chemicals, for diesel fuel, that's illegal now-a-days.

Yes Daithi and less scar tissue as well.

Thread: Giant Shark are Back
26/02/2014 13:46:39

I bought a charger off them that was duff, I don't mean the Simpsons beer, it cost me to send it back and when they decided it was their mistake they refunded the price of the charger but not the price, £6.75. of postage. Avoid this company like the the plague.

Thread: The thread for your subscriber questions and queries **please do not start a new thread**
16/01/2014 17:40:30

Well finally got free gift at 0710am this morning. With all the trouble that has occurred since the 27th November 2013, when I first asked for a gift subscription for my brother for Christmas, the lack of communications, the request for proof that I had already payed, the request from David Ashby to 'PM' him (whatever that bit of jargon means), the quadcopter arrived on my doorstep very early this morning and has only taken £5.20 out of my pension to send on to my brother. I don't think that in future I'll be bothering very much with RCM&E, after all there are plenty of other magazines on the market. All in all a very unpleasant experience.

Thread: One to watch if you are after a foam supplier?
10/01/2014 08:22:48

2017 might be 'time off for good behaviour'.
