My 110 has just landed. Everything looks really good Richard. Just thinking, how vunrable to damage will the tail plane be when transporting? If so may be worth seeing if it could be made removable. - any thoughts guys

Hi Bob. That's the problem trailblazing with new technologies, slow and cumbersome to start with. Getting new people interested will help to find definitive methods of achieving results using the tools we have on the shortest learning curve.

Bobw - Thank you for all your instruction so far. Each day I run through it trying to commit it to my old brain. Looking forward to the next instalment.

I have had a look at some of the tutorials available through the help menu. It seems there are at least 2 ways of design.

1. Working with solids as you did in your exercise 1.

2. Working in 2d with sketch and using lot of modifiers, then converting to 3d using extrusion.

I did start look at these tutorials but found it very complicated so I left it.

Is that an added bonus with the 110 ? A free bag of pegs with every kit.  I guess that's fair a 110 for me and a bag of pegs for SHMBO.(only after finishing the build.smiley

Do we also get a choice of colours?

Count me in. I would like to learn a little CAD before committing to purchasing a printer.

Of course Graham, I need to sort out how to post pictures but I will taking plenty of those!

Are you doing a leccy one?

Hi Nigel,

Yes, mine is going to be electric.. I'm not expecting mine to land until Tue/Wed next week, so can't add to your initial observations.

' Der Adler ist gelandet'!

The Bf 110 seems to have landed by my desk at work, thankfully it is a slow day so playing is the order of the day.

Top job Richard, looks like it is going to be a great build and the Waspen decals are spot on, may well use those instead of making the masks and air brushing, we will see.

First thoughts is to make the nose cone removable for battery access as this is going to be a leccy one, I have been looking around for sound systems and had planned on putting the speakers where the cooling rads are but have to do a bit more research on that one, I will be making the ordinance and bomb dropping mechanisms for under the Fuz and outer wings, was my first need when I first looked into building a 110 many years ago!

I have also started to make the plugs for the various bits and bobs that hang off the air frame such as the aileron balance weights and aerials which I intend to mould in flexible polyurethane resin to make them a little more user friendly.

Nice to have new toys to play with.

Hope that you will put some pictures up for the rest of us to get ideas from.

I think you guys have a book in the making with the antics of Graham, Sweep and Panda. Looking forward to the next entries in their diaries.

May I offer a possible working title (borrowed from Spike Milligan)

Hi Gillyg1, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'm having difficulty seeing the differences between b, c,d, and e variants and so can't make my mind up.
