Thank you Dennis. Your'e right, very satisfying. I think that most people who have made one feel the same. A lot of it is down to Richard, producing such nice models to build.

Hey Graham

Thats a shame! Perhaps if I use a lot of flap it might just indecision Thank for the link Paul. I received the paint pens yesterday. All I need to get now is the yellow Ochre.

Managed to get some more spraying done today. Just a few little bits of spraying left to do on the fus including dirtying and panel lines.

Couldn't resist putting it together.

Sorry Paul, It was the box just in front of the panel lines. Just realised that is part of the molded cowl. Just having a senior moment.embarrassedembarrassed

Thank you Paul for taking time to show us.

Wow Paul! when I first saw the 1st pictures I didn't think much of the effect, The addition of ochre has made an amazing change to the look of the lines. Looks really good Paul.

Two questions Paul, Yesterday I went looking for white fibre pens - no luck. All I found were white paint pens that you shake to get the pen working. the pen had an ali case. (can't remember the make).

What are the little box shaped pieces on the bottom of the cowl? Is that an addition you made?

By the look of it it won't be long before its ready for a maiden.

Have you painted your pilots yet?

Looking forward to getting the plan. They look a lot stronger than the small foamy jets with pointed noses that always seem to get well bent.

Nice to see this thread come alive again and good evening all..

Have also been busy with other things, built a Wot4 (wood) for a friend, also carried out a major refurb on my workshop. Revisited my 110 on Saturday -sprayed wings and fus.. Just got to add the the dark camouflage pattern . Certainly hope to get a maiden in this season.

Paul - earlier on you described how you put on the panel lines. Any chance of a close up so I can see more clearly the end result. Yours is looking really good! I like it.

Thought I read somewhere that you shouldn’t run up a brushless without a prop on it.

Popped into the LMS today for some Laura Ashley covering but they were freshly out of stock as there had been a run on it just lately. ( I reckon that must be down to Richard W)

They did offer me some tartan paint though but it was the wrong clan,

Spent afternoon spraying underside of the bf110. Very pleased with the result so far. Model starting to come to life.

Along comes my wife "not sure about the colour".

"why ? I replied.

"It's Blue"

"Yes" came my reply,

It's the same colour as the sky"

"I know, It's supposed to be, it's the scale colour".

"But you'll never see it, your always losing things".

I can see her logic. Has anyone got details of a nice Strawberry and yellow bf110.smiley

I know someone who does.

I have never had either a twin or retracts before. Do I power the receiver etc via one of the flight batteries ESC of do I power the receiver with a separate lipo and ubec.

or is it best that the retract have their own battery.

At last warm enough to work on the 110 outside. Primed the nacelles and applied a coat of dope on the brown paper wing covering.

Paint for wing underside mixed up. Hope to start spraying soon. will supply some pics soon.

You should be able to restart yours Paul.

hi I started building and flying large scale gliders about 4 years ago. because of the very hi cost of 1/4 and 1/3 scale gliders can be in the 1000s of £ I started to build them my self from epoxy and glass carbon as I built sailboard in the 1990s so the skills are nearly the same. carve the fuz out of foam then glass it. so far I have made 8 from 4 meters to 6 meters . so i am one for building.

Sounds good, I like gliders. How about some pics.

Hi Nige

See that you survived your encounter with the Essex boys.

Glad to see that you also got yourself a 109. It is an enjoyable build with a few challenges.

Looking forward to your paint list as I have 3 personnel to paint, and tailwheel details as I need to make one for the 109.

Just waiting for the weather to improve so that I can start spraying the bf110.

Thanks for the confirmation, it had me confused for a while., Flaps and radiator now sorted, just need to be glued and fitted.

21/03/2018 17:20:14

I wondered why I was having problems sorting out the radiator and flap parts. The cnc sheet shows the flap and radiator main parts are incorrectly named. Can someone please confirm.
