Yeh you're right mate Want a laugh? Just had an email back from HK saying sorry for the damaged in transit goods and could I send them more photo's so that they can claim against their courier. I'm just going to ignore it after I've stopped laughing.

Thanks for that tip. Just to mention, there is a recess for a 3mm carbon rod on the keel but none in the box. I have one spare though so I'll glue that in as well as making up 3 x 6" x 1.5mm electrical cable extensions for the motor. Oh the joys! Really, I don't care that this is a gash job from HK as I know in the end it's me that put it together and I care about it, so it'll be a good job.

Oooh! Scare the neighbours with that one! See what happens when a larger than normal pussy cat is seen! One sight of that and they'd send in Doug Maclure!!

Thank you Garbo, yes that is how it arrived, but the fuselage is still in 2 halves. Just as well really as the motor cabling is not long enough to reach the battery bay and I'll have to plug in the ESC before I glue them together. You got the same issues?

Rebooting and sacrifice has solved the glitch. Thank you Chris, much obliged for your kind consideration.

He He!! Kindly lead all the moderators to the sacrificial altar and sharpen those disembowelling cutlasses.kulou

I agree old chap and it's absolutely no problem to me whatsoever. But, this is major surgery for someone who has neither the experience or tools for the job and is normally reserved for items labelled as 'KIT'

Staff! Oh I say Staff! Bally programme has stopped letting me insert photo's into postings.

HK Bixler so called PNP arrived today, unfortunately the fuselage was still in 2 halves, seems more like 'kit' to me but there's no glue and all the stickers are ready applied. I would have incuded a photo but that function has been disabled on this thread. I'm not expecting any response from HK on this although I have gone through the motions of making them aware of the problem and sending photo's , etc. Once I have glued it all together I shall give a review on another thread.

Thread: Nats 2012 photos and chat
27/08/2012 18:28:45

The Starfighter did fly, I was amazed at it's turning circle, a lot tighter than I would have expected.

I wheeled myself into the RCME tent at the agreed time on the Sunday. Marvelled at Tim's 2 Cleansweep's and his Twin Thingy. Completely drooled over his Blackburn. Introduced myself and had a little chat with a marvellous Austrian chappy(sorry cannot remember your name mate) Then continued my fruitless search for a disabled toilet.(Note to organisers) My abiding memory has to be the marvellous scale flying of the Hunter,  fantastic as I was lucky enough to spend a few years in the 80's at Brawdy where they were operational, right up until their retirement and subsequent sale to Zimbabwe,

Thread: Downloadable plans?

Oh I say you've discovered one of my favourite past tiimes, I spend hours(literally) just perusing Outerzone and wanting to build them all but building none of them. I do however marvel at the various designs and pay particular attention to the fascinating array of construction techniques. Great stuff!
