Thread: Forum members' new models: Let's see them.
new model to me, as i needed to replace my Sebart Shark for training duties, the Shark is getting on for at least 5 years old and taught a lot of people, plus my own flying.
the only plane i really liked to continue to teach students was the fms supercub,,
this photo was taken by a current student, Paul Gerry, set against Dartmoor (Haytor) not too far away

Thread: Complete newbie in Devon
Hi Carl, have a drive over and come have a fly with us,
I would recommend a max thrust riot to get you flying asap, then build something that you want to.
A foam trainer is a good place to start,
A hard decision is what radio to buy,
Where are you in Devon?
I am in Torquay, part of the Torbay & District Radio Flying Club.
Feel free to message and we can sort out a days taster session for you.
Thread: Looking for a 1930s low wing racer plan

Thread: NEW POLL - do you use a throttle kill switch?
one of the first things i set up, throttle isolate/disable/kill switch, also add some red heatshrink over it so it is easily identified,
it is also something i make sure that anyone i am teaching has set up.
All my planes have throttle arm/disarm safety switch, i never take anything for granted, even as careful as i think i am,
safety is for everyone and not just the pilot,

Thread: Converting old kit to save buying new
if you do choose to use your 35meg gear, check for black wire corrosion,
welcome back to a brilliant hobby,
20+years on, you will find it is now cheaper to do this hobby, and such a wide choice.
go along to your local club, have a chat with them, maybe get flying if they have a plane and buddy box, so you can get some stick time while you decide all of your options.
Thread: What Sports Aerobatic for an ASP 70 Four Stroke?

Thread: Gangster 75 Build Blog
brings back memories,
i had the 42, 53 & 63 back many many years ago, never had the 75, instead at that time i had the Galaxy Mystic, probably the close competitor for the gangster.
i always wanted the gangster twin but could not manage it back then, maybe i should look for one now.
