Hello fellow modelers ,

I would like to share some photo's and a video of my own design Short S23 C-Class Empire flyingboat. Last week was a fine day to go flying so i went to the nearby lake together with my son Lucas (8yo). Conditions were very good with a very calm wind. My son Lucas made some very nice picture's. The flying was fun and relaxing. I usually spend the complete battery charge making spash&goes.

Below are the pictures made by my son and a video made using a mobius hatcam.

Enjoy

Kind Regards ,

Bart

@ Levanter : I can recommend flying of water very much , it provides so much fun.

@ John : If you make a 1/16.5 scale Bristol Pegasus with makes the right sound i am interested too

Regards ,

Bart

Great stuff.

Last time i watched a model flying boat i expected a splash on touch down instead I heard a clonk,

There was an inch of ice on the water !

The kind words are well deserved, a terrific model flown in a beautiful setting by skilled pilot ... you should be very proud.

Words fail me. The last still shot of model a few feet above the water is great. Always on ic myself, but the advent of electric motors, and modern batteries make flying off water a new challenge. A superb model Bart well built, well flown and presented. Cheers

Inspired and now jealous. There is a lot of water in Holland and I have been on much of it. Not so many slope soarers though. crying

Sealand ? no , Ivan Pettigrew has plans for it already. Maybe a smaller version of the Dornier Do24K i designed.,

Cheers,
