Shiny floor! Have you power floated it, or is it a thermo-plastic type?

Epic shed, btw. What about a little mezzanine over the main door?

Cheers Mike, the floor was hand trowelled concrete, then a hand layed screed, then painted with an epoxy lab paint, rollered on. Don't worry about a mezzanine, by the time its filled up there wouldn't be space!! The rule is, projects I may never get round to up top, the lower they get the more likely I'll do them!!

She is a beauty ! You must be chuffed. Does it take much to heat it with the high roof ?

To be honest I don't know yet! There is no heating in there at the moment and anyone who's visited has asked where the heating is as it is noticabley much warmer than outside. Its fairly draught free and well insulated so the plan is one of those oil filled leccy radiators will be enough. I originally did plan on having a wood burner in there but never bothered due to time constraints.

The plan all along was to build something that looked fitting for the railway house and its surroundings, but that was good enough inside for many uses and something that should add value to the house too. Externally though, I ideally want it to look like something that has been there for years that has been refurbed or re skinned etc. I drew up an 'old style' makers plate for the outside which I'll get printed onto metal, enamel sign style but I'll not do that til the tin has been given the black bitumen treatment. Doors, windows and the lamps to be painted dark red and cream in the North Stafford Railway colours.

Well, after a whole day of 'trying' to keep things tidy, I've failed miserably !! Most of the furniture is in the room, just a paint cupboard to bring in. Just two more airframes to squeeze in too. One is to go in the roof as it isn't mine and has been awaiting pick up from someone who seems to have disappearedfrown, the other to go straight on the cleared bench! The Wellington fuselage is to go under the trusses under its outer wing panels, it will await it's turn on the bench patiently. Still lots of sorting and firking to do, but it's nearly allin there, somewhere!

What's the story behind the brace of Defiants (if I'm not mistaken...)?

I'm thinking I'm going to need one Cymaz!! Planning is a joke though aint it? I wanted to build a bigger shed than this but was limited to 30sqm footprint. I could however build as many 30sqm footprint sheds as I like, up to half the garden area or something daft!! I have built a brick garage though which will yield some more storage for some finished models.

Good spot Martin! They are indeed Defiants, one mine and one a mates. They are being done to 1/4 scale, about 10ft span. They are due to have animated turrets and fairings etc, powered by 150cc inline twins if I can find an affordable one. I got loads of factory drawings from the Boulton Paul Association which helped in sorting the design out. The project stalled when the house move got in the way.

Shed height looks a relative size to wingspan or fuselage length. As you stored all those in house where did you sleep?? Definitely a mighty shedyes
