bought this extra 330L 30cc , and hopefully i'm going to install a dle 30cc , but as the pics show the prop hub would stick out the front of the cowl by approx 30mm , so do i cut the engine box , and if so how do i ensure square cuts , and what would i cut it with to achieve this , or do i hack the firewall away to let the carb through and use smaller standoffs , at the risk of reducing the integrity of the firewall .20150218_155433.jpg

Hi John,

Would it be posssible to cut free/unglue the engine box, slide it backwards 30mm or so and re-fix?

Ok - see what you mean

Unglue the firewall and move it back.

Or install a new firewall in the correct position and just cut off the foward one.

Or even just install a new firewall in the correct location and enlarge the hole in the existing one to fit the motor through?

What model is it John? - looks Edge 540ish?

John

Would this also be a good opportunity to beef up the u/c attachments...? (The dreaded ARTF Achilles heel )

Not that I'm suggesting your landings aren't OK smiley
