Moving to a house with a friendly farmer's field next door, Looking to fly an electric model for hand launch and belly landing as no possible runway.

The Easy Star looks like a good fit. The comments on the forums regarding an Easy Star versus a Hobbyking Bixler very varied, with no obvious advantages other than stronger foam on Multiplex.

Can anybody suggest an electric set up using a 2200 3s 11.1 v battery for the Multiplex. Recommended motor looks vey expensive at £44.99!

Hi Neil

Those same forums probably give you the answer you are looking for.

Alternatively why not use what HK recommend for the Bixler here

Thanks Masher

I know the Bixler is allegedly a copy but will the HK motor fit? On contacting the Slough supplier I was advised that only the recommended motor would fit the motor pod - surprise surprise, but don't know if this is correct?

Ahhh sorry I can't answer that. I would go for the Bixler anyway if it was me - there are plenty of them in my club and they are fine

I'm waiting for an Easy Star (motor included). Apparently they're on back order with Perkins (the distributor).
