I'm so sorry to inform everyone that Pete died following a heart attack yesterday.
He was great flyer, builder, writer and photographer whose popular column in the magazine was appreciated by all. He was a good friend too, always happy to help and he'll be missed by everyone at our club.
My heartfelt thoughts go to Janet and the family.

This is really sad news, I really enjoyed Petes column, a great modeller and all round good egg. My deepest sympathies to Janet, family and friends.

What sad news this is; heart felt condolences to the Janet, family and friends.. Pete will be sorely missed.
I enjoyed Pete's column, tips, humour and choice of models (and shirts) too.. !

That is dreadful news, very sad. I loved the 'Totally Traditional' column. I never met Pete but he always came across as a larger than life character. My thoughts are with Janet and his family

Very sorry to hear this David, I spoke to Pete on several occasions before I started my DB Pup build, found him very helpful. Big loss to the hobby.

Oh dear, very sad news indeed. I often read Pete's column and always enjoyed his writing. I e mailed him on a number of occasions regarding his Bristol Freighter build, as I had some info I knew he'd be interested in.
Again, so sad. Pete will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family.
