I'm so sorry to inform everyone that Pete died following a heart attack yesterday.

He was great flyer, builder, writer and photographer whose popular column in the magazine was appreciated by all. He was a good friend too, always happy to help and he'll be missed by everyone at our club.

My heartfelt thoughts go to Janet and the family.

I enjoyed Pete's column, tips, humour and choice of models (and shirts) too.. !

Blue skies and warm winds Pete, with that saxophone playing in the background to guide you around the patch..

Oh dear, very sad news indeed. I often read Pete's column and always enjoyed his writing. I e mailed him on a number of occasions regarding his Bristol Freighter build, as I had some info I knew he'd be interested in.

Again, so sad. Pete will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family.
