I have a flycamone 2 strapped to the nose of my Twinstar.
When I record in flight, with the engines on or off I get a green band at the bottom of the picture.
On the ground or in my house with everything off, it is fine.
Could the radio be intefering with it? 35mhz.
the lens has a clear field of vision, mounted on anti vibration pads, no cold temperatures. Well forward of any electrics.
Driving me mad. though all there is to video her in Dubai is sand, so the green stripe makes a bit of colour change from yellow.
I did discover the dual layer of palstic over the lens, after the first flights as well.

Hi all,
I am thinking about getting Flycamone V2 to fit to my trainer.
Will the 37g make much of a difference to the flight characteristics?

What size/type of trainer Ross? If it's the one in your avatar then no worries, you'll be fine.

Ross, I used one fitted under the fus of a vintage model that only weighs 1040g. Power is only a brushed 480 motor & it didn't make any appreciable difference, the model would still take off from our grass strip without any problems.

Forgot to mention, you won't be able to take good pictures if the camera is pointing through the prop arc. Here's some stills I took using the PE setting with the camera pointing forward.

I also took some video like this then some with the camera skewed to miss the prop arc.

I bought one a year ago but if I had known it was only 1.3 Mpixels I would not have bothered. Trying to erase multiple videos is well nigh impossible and loop record seems to be the only way to go. Tried it on the dashboard of my car for a while but the results were so poor I have not as yet bothered to put it in amodel. Very disappointed with the quality.

Like most people I found the internal battery totally inadequate & the picture quality is poor. I now use an external 4.8v AAA controled by a CurveRC interface gizmo. I scrapped the stand & soldered a lead to the contacts on the camera underside.
For video I have it set on VR. Can't say I've had any problems erasing.

Not sure why you find it difficult to delete videos.
Surely when you connect the FlyCam to a PC it appears as a a "removable disk" and you can select, view, transfer or delete any of the files as you wish.
There are many FlyCamOne videos on this site. Yes it is only 1.3 Mpixels but they show what possible.

Hi Simon, maybe I did not persevere enough with it and will try again.
