Yes, fly boy, the disc clean up utility is very good and can be used to good effect to delete temporary system files and help, in some cases, to speed things up a bit.

Have to agree with Ken's choice of Ccleaner, but be careful when you download it, or any updates, as they have a tendency to "steer" you towards downloading the payed for version(s), which in my opinion you don't really need.

I combine this with Avast anti-virus, and Malwarebytes for a nice clean PC.

Personally I find Ashampoo's 'Winoptimizer' is great value for the money (you can get a 30 day trial of the full version). It cleans up files on the hard drive, defragments (even defrags the pagefile and system files on boot) as well as optimising your network/internet setup and a few other things as well

Hi all, sorry for late reply. Thanks for all the hints, I may need to use one of them, but at the moment I have Windows Disc Clean already installed on my PC, but do not know how to use it. When I open it up it has a few boxes already ticked, such as Temp Int. Files Office set up files, temp files, and a few others. Would it be safe to delete these ? Thanks
