John

If the weather stays kind - that's very little wind - looks like Saturday, I would like to bring along some unusual scale light weights..

Grass length no problem as they all hand launch with ease - all but one has no U/C anyway!

I am a BMFA member.

No Paul, but we can get refills for you.

We'll check with folk Saturday, anyone needing water, their containers will get filled.

I will bring some, the internal water tank on the caravan holds a few gallons, so should be ok for 24 hours or so.

That looks very inviting!

Still not sure about the weather.

Most of my models need calmer conditions but the latest weather forecast is now showing Sunday as the calmer, 7 mph and decreasing to 5 during the day, whereas Saturday is 4 mph but increasing to 10 by late afternoon.

Quite a way to travel so it may have to be a last minute choice!

Excellent evenings flying. By 7pm the wind was almost zero and we had a selection of electrics and UMX micros out. Chinese supper was spot on. Now to decide whether to watch The Blues Brothers in the caravan of do a bit of night flying with the Pawnee?

Yes Tom/BEB I succumbed! Very nice night flying. Just one battery. Quite relaxing but you have to keep track of where it is and where it was half a second ago!

Nice and calm this morning and lots of flying. Bit of a rain shower now so some socialising in the big tent for a bit!

Q: Which part of building a new traditional balsa aeroplane do you enjoy the most?

 Research & choosing the model
 Building the fuselage
Installing the engine and radio systems
 Building the flying surfaces
 Covering/painting/finishing
 All of it!
None of it. I'd rather someone else did it!
