Dear Modelflying Lads & Lasses,

I would just like to take this opportunity to advise everyone that we are currently in the process of moving house, with the actual relocation being scheduled for 10th of June 2016.

Now that we have been given the removal date, we are not only frantically sorting all the general household paraphernalia, but also have to prepare & pack all of the plugs, tools, materials and other equipment related to Vortex Vacforms.

Therefore, I would like to apologise in advance to anyone requiring spares/parts, etc during the next 2-3 weeks or so, as there may be a slight delay in processing some enquiries and orders.

Kind regards,

Steve Davis - Vortex Vacforms

Thank you for the good wishes Colin. Hopefully, the possibility of any delay in service will be kept to an absolute minimum.

In reality, I believe the most likely cause would be in trying to locate a specific plug amongst the full inventory, which will remain wrapped & crated for a short time whilst the new workshop is fitted-out to suit.

Cymaz, I hope so too. Anyway, it's 'flaming June', why wouldn't it be sunny?!

Good luck with the move Steve. Been through it myself not too long back. Can't be easy when there are business interests involved in addition to all the usual stuff.......

Good luck!

Hi Percy and thank you. Hopefully everything will run smoothly and as planned, although I won't be too surprised if we are struck by the effects of Murphy's Law at some point during the process!

Hi Peter, thank you for the good luck message matey.

If you haven't moved in 54 years, can I ask how you managed to get a mortgage when you were obviously still at school?! lol

Dear Modelflying Lads & Lasses,

I would like to inform anyone/everyone who may be (or has been) trying to contact us recently, that we are currently without telecoms & broadband due to a Monumental FUBAR by the Virgin Media engineers who failed to turn up on 17th June as arranged.

We have since been assured that connection will take place on 1st July, after which we can attend to any outstanding and/or unanswered enquiries.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and would especially like to thank David from RCM&E for checking to see how we were getting on after our move across Leicestershire.

Kind regards,

Steve Davis - Vortex Vacforms

Thanks Andy - I don't think we realise just how reliant we are on modern tech until we don't have it. In case anyone is wondering, I've placed these last couple of posts via a friend's device.

Hopefully, the broadband issue will be resolved tomorrow and we can at least begin replying to emails.

Kind regards,

Dear Modelflying Lads & Lasses,

It is with great relief that I can announce that we have completed our house move across Leicestershire, and that Vortex Vacforms is again able to assist modellers requiring vacformed spares or accessories to finish/ repair/ restore their R/C Model Aircraft.

Also, contrary to a couple of rumours which made there way back to me over the last few weeks, I can confirm that Vortex has not been bought, sold, changed hands and/or being run by anyone else - We've just moved house (and Vortex Vacforms) from our previous address in Birstall to our new address in Ibstock, Leicestershire - honest!

As from July 2016, our contact details are:

Vortex Vacforms
40, Thorndale,
Ibstock,
Leicestershire.
LE67 6JT
UNITED KINGDOM

Tel: (01530) 457806.

email: vortex_vacforms@hotmail.com

Website: http://www.vortex-vacforms.co.uk

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Vortex.Vacforms

Note: We set up a postal redirect, but in practice we have discovered that some mail has not been forwarded. Therefore, it would be greatly appreciated if modelflying site-users could share our new details among their club-mates, as it would be a shame if a customer were to lose their plug due to it going to the wrong address and then getting lost or damaged.

Wishing everyone a model-flying August!

Kind regards,

Steve Davis

I would like to say a big thank you to David for including our new contact details within the 'Switch On' pages of the September 2016 issue of RCM&E.

Your efforts are very much appreciated Mr Roberts.

And from me too, and also from all my little pilot people, nestling under Steves perfect canopies, made from my slightly wonky plugs
