Hi all,

I hope I am posting on the right thread for my request.

I have a Black Horse Chipmunk ARTF which I have had for years and recently I have broken the wing which I would rather replace that repair.

My problem is that none of the suppliers I have tried can help me with a new set so now I am appealing to the people who frequent this site for help please.

I will pay for the item and cover the postage.

Here hoping!!

Hi Matt

Have you tried contacting J. Perkins themselves? They're the UK importer, and often advertise the fact they carry spares on their website.

Failing that, as a last resort you could trace the outlines of both the tip and root sections, then get a foam wing cut. It wouldn't be my choice - I've never liked foam wings, and haven't used one for decades - but it would mean you'd get the model flying once more.

Perkins Import Seagull IIRC, Ripmax do Blackhorse. has a spares section, no wings listed for their chippy though, may be worth a phone call as quite often they get damaged stock. Try they are ripmax outlet.

Oh well, that shows how much I know Braddock! That's what comes of not being a regular artf purchaser.........

Well I have tried emailing Ripmax but they have not replied but I will keep on trying till I get one as the fuselage is too good just to dump.

I know you said you didn't want to repair the wing but it's often easier than at first sight. If you haven't any building experience, some of your clubmates might be able to give you specific advice.
