Hi All,

I have eflite 90-120 size twist and turn retracts in my Blackhorse p-40, on my last landing bent the retract leg back by only about 4-5mm, so it now wont fit back into the wheel well 100%, question is ?? can you release the leg by just undoing the grub screws, is there a method, I get the feeling as soon as I loosen the grub screw it will be like opening the back of a watch and bits and springs go every where and will never go back the same way, any info please.

No, don't worry it's fine. Mine have two grub screws but the wire legs are designed to be removed, you can buy spare legs. Take them out, bend then straight and pop them back in. Use thread lock on the grub screws.

Thank you Bucksboy, is it best to take leg off when extended or when leg is retracted or does it not matter.

If you buy new wire stubs OK, but if you make them, which you can easily, don't forget to make a locating flat on the leg for the grubscrew to bite on! I've seen more than one that exhibited extra and unwanted "twist" thanks to that! Ask me how I know!! blush

You are spot on with that observation BEB. It is a simple flat file solution that sometimes gets overlooked until it is a problem.
