Maybe discretion was the best move in the circumstances, I would have left as well, just in case.

Good idea leaving it for another time when there's no warships around! !

Hey just wondering if flying off the beach has any detrimental effects on your models? ?

I've just flew off the beach last week it's great having a new runway every time tide goes out!
But the salt can't be good eh? I just used wipes to clean off sand but worried about motor and servos!

Cheers Alan

yes the salt affects the metal screws/fittings etc etc - not had any problem with servos or motors

The Royal Navy frigate HMS Richmond scuppered my flying for 9 months last year....... We were in the Indian Ocean for most of it
