I have just made the airlerons, which as per the plans have a chamfered leading edge for hinging along the top edge. When I hold the airleron in the neutral position there is no gap along the entire length of the airleron.

However because there is a curvature along the top of the wing, when I rotate the airleron upwards (as if it was hinged) , gaps open up of several millimetres for several centimetres near the two ends and there is no gap along the central part of the airleron.

I was wondering how others have dealt with this tricky problem, (elastic hinges ?) and have been able to neatly hinge the airlerons from the top edge

many thanks, Steve
