i'm hoping to get down to Sandhays (lincolnshire) for their 3 day aero tow, hoping to test out my 3.5KW electrice Tug with some nice gliders. Sandhays events are always great and this year there are a number of overseas visitors with some nice european gliders ...

Lets hope the weather holds and the 30mph winds don't materialise

Too windy to fly down here today so Nasa Steve and I ran up some new motors ...

Steve had his DL 50 petrol...

I ran up the OS 120 in the Sparrowhawk....

But we didn't fly fingers crossed it's better tomorrow.

Very gusty here, from the east, so no good for Winter Hill, as it is over an upwind ridge with a sharp drop to the rear, over a valley, then the pimple of Rivington Pike. With this direction and strength, it is all turbulence and not much lift, so didn't bother going. Watered the front patch with weed-killer instead.

Woke up to rain but then it looked brighter so I packed the car and pottered off to the Hastings fly-in. Glad I did, the sun came out and by 1pm we had a very nice day on our hands.

Thanks to all the boys and girls at the Hastings club for organising an excellent day of off the peg flying
