Excellent news!

I had feared the worst, and that we had lost Barkston for good!

Excellent news Andy.

We are pleased to announce that arrangements to hold both the 2017 Free Flight Nationals and the 2017 Power Nationals at RAF Barkston Heath have been confirmed. The Free Flight Nationals will take place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend (27-29 May) and the Power Nationals will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (26-28 August).

Do you know what.. last years cancellation and the aftermath had most people with head in hands... the BMFA have now secured a national flying centre, and the return of the NATS...

However hard I try... I cant knock that effort... 10 out of 10, and a very big thank you to all involved..

Deep joy!

Many of the Greenacres MAC gang will be in attendance. I may have to resurrect my "micro-electric-free-flight" project for some "chuck and duck" action...

Frankly pulse jet control line flying is worth the journey over on its' own!

A bit too early to be handing out bouquets re the NFC, but 10/10 BMFA for securing Barkston for the Nats and of course, the commitment from the RAF. Now, can someone PLEASE arrange for some decent weather over the August bank holiday weekend laugh

That's good. Also luckily the Ragley Hall show is the following weekend. I was hoping the two wouldn't clash.

I take it, the Nats are NOT on th B/H Weekend? I'll take Friday off.

Good news indeed - I thought we may never be back again. I suspect we will have to be squeaky clean on issues such a FOD from now on though; one slip up and we might find our access gone for good.

Now THAT has made my day!

Many thanks to the BMFA for their ongoing efforts on our behalf.
