Was looking on eBay the other day and couldn't help thinking the price of 35mhz was on the up seems the same for run of the mill engines compared to a few years ago

Well I'm certainly not selling my Multiplex 35mHz IPD receivers or my Mux3030 transmitter despite now using my Taranis 2.4GHz for 90% of my models. They're worth more to me than I could get for them on eBay.

My Field Force 8 and many receivers are still used and not long agao I added to my 35 Mhz receiver stock. You have to search for crystals if you are on a allocated frequency in a club.

Well I certainly won't be parting with my 35mhz gear. Like Geoff, I've used a number of IPD receivers and find them superb. When other makes of 35mhz were getting glitches I got nothing. I have some brand new boxed ones here.....

I still have a Futaba FPT5N Tx gathering dust. My JR 347 Tx I converted to 2.4 with a Corona module, has worked well with the Corona receivers.

Though my 90% of the time system is still my Spektrum DX7, never faulted.

Ray.

I let mine go OG, sat in a drawer they are worthless, better to move them on to someone who'll use them.

You literally cannot give away ordinary 35mhz receivers in my club. We leave stuff on the table in the Club Hut for others, with a note saying they need a new home and they'll stay there for weeks. Biscuits go in seconds mind....

I'll happily give you a few £ for your old 35mhz receivers and crystals if they are compatible with futaba. If you want rid of it I'm still flying 35mhz on my nitro stuff as i prefer it.

The only real problem with 35 MHz gear comes when you still have some models not yet converted And decide to give them an outing then forget to extend the TX ariel.

I have done this twice, the first time I got away with it but the second time crying

We're not allowed to fly with 35MHz at my club since 2016, so nearly all my models are 2.4. I still use 35MHz when I'm building easier to check and set up control throws. Usually I have not got a new RX but I've always got a 35 RX and battery sitting on the shelf with TX of course.

Robert

On what grounds have they prohibited the use of 35mhz Robert? As far as I'm aware it remains a legal band for use........

Percy,

I believe, that as more and more club members were going over to 2.4. However, this was decided as I joined the club so to be honest I'm not sure but fine by me. I've got a JR PCM 9XII radio with both modules.

Regards

Robert
