A club mate who will no longer fly has decided to get rid of his flight. I was lucky enough to swap a good Isle of Skye malt for this...

What is that wierdo called? I have 2x twin onboard glow units ex-Lancaster if you are interested. Colour scheme looks fine as it is to me.

Peter Miller suggested this

I like it. SWMBO will do some pilots. And has come up with the company name of Air-Fungus to put on the side! laugh The reg will remain as above.

The plane was designed and scratch built by the former owner and club mate.

The vital statistics for the old lady are..

  • Fus 80" long
  • Wingspan 108", 16"chord
  • Tail 16" high, 38" wide
  • Total dry weight 8.5kg
  • 4 x OS 40 LA

I want to strip it to the balsa, put all new plumbing in. Strip all the engines, install new batteries and switches. Install new remote glows.

Hi Cymaz,

That's a new one on me, what about the old BA colours like I used on my Chipmunk

Would certainly fit, especially if you put a very long pink pitot on it.

One thing's for sure it will sound splendid, I guess you're talking about a winter refurb or are you planning a smash and grab to catch the summer.

Love that! It's best to poke fun at yourself - before someone else does.laugh

How about Aardvark Airways. The model looks like a classic bush plane, which are usually done up in bright colours - to assist with finding the crash site.

Very interesting and fun project.
