I am hoping somebody can help me with a suggested motor and esc set up for the Sebart Sukhoi 30e I know that it suggests the Hacker A30 10 XL and X55 controller but these are quite expensive. I just hoped somebody could advise a good alternative. I belive it has to be an outrunner motor due to the fit on the aircraft.
Many thanks in advance.

This range is suitable: **LINK**
I think you would struggle to measure the difference between these and Hacker, they are probably made in the same factory. There are different kV options so either choose closest match to Hacker or choose a different set up. Probably depends on the battery you want to use and how you fly.
In my 30E Katana, I have the above motor, 13x8E APC prop, ANO 60A ESC and fly on 4s LiPo. This set up produces 600W at 42A at WOT (wide open throttle) - which is more than enough but not insane

I'll second the use of Turnigy SK3 motors. Bench testing gives real world power ratings similar to the specs, backed up by in-air telemetry. They seem to be very durable too.

My Sebart Mythos 30e has an Emax 2820/07 and a Robotbirds badged (HiModel ?) 60A ESC on 4S.
I am still experimenting with the setup of this model and at some point I may bite the bullet and replace the Emax with a Hacker A30-12XL (or the clone that Masher refers to).
