HI Folks,   Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement. If this goes on at this rate I will have to make a book out of it.

Patricia has my sympathies, too, lots and lots. I will try and send in a picture of her, and you will see what a lucky chap I am.

The Sunderland Gouge flaps are a problem which I need help with. I have pics and a plan I can email if you need further help in understanding my comments.  Thanks again,   Martyn

I think I'd like Orkney! I have space in any direction but after 6 months without rain it's a toss-up which is harder, concrete or African earth!

I'd like a plan of the flap problem, I was an engineer in a previous life, maybe I can make some usefull comments.

"Steady, Lad" as the Churchill Bulldog would say.

Thanks ,Ron, It is great to get your response, and I just love writing and flying. Just flew back on one of the Islander Aircraft in 20 kt wind and fog.  Quite exciting, even for my level of flying. I knew we were home when the Scapa Distillery emerged from the mist.  ITS TRUE,  I TELL YOU!!   Martyn

"As a Moderator should know better plus inflamatory"

Ron... sorry mate ...but what are you on about ?

I was referring to Martyn's latest escapades in his "boggy model trap" - perhaps you have not caught up with his latest tales which were updated this morning??

Actually I wasn't apologising Ron -I expected you to! I was expressing my inability to understand your post.

as Sir terry would say... "Is it me ?"

Oh well, moving swiftly on.....

I am puzzled at the "flying" bit. Lots of cutting Peats and stirring black mud, or am I just stirring?

Nice and entertaining though.

Are you gloing to visit the Mainland in September? Loch Insh splash-in just might be a venue for you.

Ah, I see, sorry you thought like that Ron - it would not be my nature to have accused you of telling "boggy tales" whatever that may have meant to you ??

In forum circles.... I usually include a persons name ONLY if I am directing the comment at them, rather than the OP.

Anyways.....Cheers mate.... and although running the risk once more of being accused of being  Dick Emery's classic character ... " I still like you "

( followers of my exchanges with my mate Scott over on "I give up" thread will get the meaning of this LOL - )

I see Martyn you have taken the words from my mouth, I was about to suggest you collect all your ramblings , observations and experiences and put them into a book , there must be a few thousand modellers who would buy it! Keep up the excellent and fascinating work !

Excellent reading.

Must be the most dedicated modeller I have come across.

If you fancy trying CAD for only a small donation try progeCAD2008smart.It is similar to Autocad and can be configured to look the same.

Another great installment Martin - I always look forward to your latest episodes.... I reckon you would make a great "tail end charlie" contributor to the mag each month.
