Flying the buzz, from Flyingwings, and going great until one of the sevros went - grinding of teeth and strange noises - soon to be replaced (will be before I fly again)

Noticed something odd on the DX6i though, I limit the throws on the servos as still a bit of a novice, and it kept resetting the value because of the faulty servo ??(I guess)  Went from 80% to a 100% but only on the effected servo - software bug, design flaw or normal ??

 Using a DX6i with a AR6100E

haven't reported to Horrizon Hobbies as they where closed at point of discovery

The servo can't talk to the RX, are you checking the throw rate with the dual rate switch in the same position. I.e. did you inadvertently flick the dual rate switch on that channel from 80% to 100%.

My Dx6i seems OK but I've only had it for 4 weeks or so.

I agree with Frank...cant see how a duff servo could actually affect travel throw.

If the servo has a broken gear, it is possible that the feedback pot isn't tracking with the output disk, thus giving the appearance of a moving throw setting.

True! I don't think we have positional feedback to the tx from the servos, yet!

Yep All of the above correct, I'm happy to say.

Lack of understanding on how the D/R switches worked and did accidentally flicked the switch.

Point worth noting, the D/R switches over rule the Throw limit and reset (over rule) the value if the D/R switch is flipped

The offending servo has been consigned to the tip

 I live and learn

James when you program the throw on the servo on the TX it does it for the position the rate switch is in, flicking the switch and you can reset the throw for that position.
