What happened to this thread, how did the maiden go? Plane looked great. I am considering one of these and would be grateful to get some overall feedback on the kit and the power system used?

With Mike's high standard of build and it's designer Richard at the controls it was flawless and looks as good in the air as it does on the ground. It really is a peach of a model and Mike should be real proud of it. Here are the pictures of it's first flight.

Hello Piers , the model is 55" laser cut , typical weight 6lb , IC version requires a .52FS .

The electric version is far better but I have flown both for many years ,

I have just started building mine which I've had in stock for a couple of years. Anybody contemplating one - it's a very enjoyable and relatively easy build that goes together well. Nice quality Richard.

Just want to second what Graham said. Mine has been languishing for a year, primed but unpainted but given the recent circumstances it may finally get finished off.
Goes together beautifully, a real pleasure to build.

There are two threads on this model . There are some tips on modifications on the other thread , If you back track on the forum to "Warbird Kits " you will see it .

Nothing wrong with your Spit , Martian . In fact, I rather fancy one with the yellow spinner . I kind of panicked when I sent the kits out this morning , remembering that I was going to put down some tips and options on the standard build . it wasnt till after I 'd posted that I remembered your later thread (had the better photos.....dont tell Paul ) blushcheeky
