What kind of throws are recommended, apart from the 3mm reflex?

Over here we could use some of the rain. As for winds, we have our fair share.

Ken, that cg measurement you gave me is I assume from the wing TE and not the elevon TE?

Best of luck with the first fright.

I might just put one of these together before the winter leaves us. I always enjoyed flying my Challenger delta 15 years or so back. The sheer simplicity of this one appeals. When I opened up the plan I couldn't help but notice the old sliding tray servo mixer. Takes me back a few decades, as my Mick Reeves Disco used one of those about 40 years ago. No transmitter mixing back then of course.......

Hi lads, I'm really pleased you have all built this RCM&E free plan. If you could email me some high res pics (preferably 1Mb min and in focus) along with a bit of detail about the model and yourself, I would like to use them in a future column in RCM&E.

Mail your info to thatbloke@garritys.net

Cheers,

Shaun

All covered now yes

I need to install the horns on to the elevons and tape them on and then I can connect the servo pushrods followed by gluing the servo cover on and I also still haven’t glued fins in.

Tried to maiden today.
So they say not to take picture of your model pre-maiden. It'll jinx the maiden flight.
Well, I busted that myth!
As I was alone (mistake, I know), I launched myself, at full thottle. Before I could get my hand on my tranny, she'd sort of looped and crashed behind me...
I had balanced slightly nose heavy, and checked the CG before launch, so it wasn't that. Is the 3mm reflex realy necessary?
Minor damage. If I had CA and kicker with me, I would've relaunched within 10 minutes.

Hopefully next week, with someone else launching, both of my hands on the tranny...

Congratulations! I'll try to finish my model this weekend, as the winds are forecast to be high and gusting. Not good for maiden flights and perhaps also unsuitable for other flying activities . Maybe good for the PSS enthusiasts.

NB.

Motor shaft is bend...angry 2 Just ordered a new one. Repaired the rest of the "damage", such as it was. Ready for re-maiden, as soon as I have received and replaced the shaft. Probably won't be flying next weekend anyway, as there is an F3F competition. Just when the high winds are gone, I find me praying for them to come back (westerly please)..
