Having fallen in love with the model in the SLEC tent at the Nat's a week ago I just have to build it. The last year or so I have got into the habit of building ARF, 5 of them been by E-flite, While all the models were exelent vaue for money they do not take up much time to put together. I was looking for a long term build for the winter. I have managed to order the plan and plan pack and bits, I have spent the last few day planning out how and why and when of it ( RETIRED LOTS OF TIME ). First thing I did was to order a Arifix kit of the Sunderland, I will build that first and Place it in the workshop ( small spare bedroom ). The next thing was how am I going to finish it off as I have to be carefull what I use upstaires ( keep well in with the boss for cup of tea ) I covered a small piece

of 1/8 ply with Fibretech super lightweight glass cloth 25g using Homebase clear mat WBPU varnish 3 coats and i was happy with the finish will try to take a picture if I can.

Nearly every thing has arrived, Large bundle of balsa came from SLEC today the selection and the quality was very good, the pounds shillings and pence are really mounting up, but it will be worth it in the end. Was going to put the cost on the forum, but the wife may log on. Painting the Airfix as this is the how the large one will be. Sent the decals from the Airfix kit to Pyramid models today and they are scaling them up and making me a set Fred. Was going to add pictures but things have changed on the forum.
