For some reason the FrSky hardware and Microsoft don't play perfectly together. You'll find that every now and again, with a Windows update, Microsoft will think it knows better and will pick the wrong driver again. So when you have these symptoms again, just go through the Zadig process again. As detailed in that instruction sheet.

I did all the Zadig interface stuff to use Companion but, to be honest, I do all my model set ups on the transmitter as I did with my Taranis and my Mutliplex 3030 before that. On the Horus it's very easy to use and it means I check it on the actual model as I'm setting up.

What I do on my PC is backups and images from photos of my models which is fun but not absolutely necessary.

That’s interesting, so am I right in thinking I can put open tx on the sd card and not actually have to connnectvthe radio to the computer at all ?

I’ve been faffing and read so much info I can’t make heads or tails of it, I think I’ve just confused myself 😂

No you can't.

What you need to do is stop guessing and do exactly what the instructions say.
That's why they were written and you can get in a real mess if you don't

Sorry if I sound like a broken record, I won't mention it again but you're on your own if you try to make it up as you go along.

Sorry if I was being confusing, as Chris says, you need to do the interface for backup etc. Just follow the instructions and all will be well. They are very good and extremely helpful.

No that makes sense, I’m terrible at following instructions but I’ll follow to the letter!

I am a bit disappointed with the case as the switches are right under the lid, for the sake of an extra 10mm and some padding sad I really wanted the alloy case but the price put me off surprise

Mine was supplied with a foam protection strip for the switches.

Mine did too, I’m thinking about getting a flight case that I can put both the radio and the case in half of it then divide the rest up for battery’s etc

Mines got that but its pushing on the underside of the lid with the switch ends all the way through the foam.
