Since this model was built approx 10-15 years ago, and never flown, I decided to give it a going over and update here and there.

My preferred twin switch installed.

I stripped the tank and fuel lines, and replaced all the plumbing. I have used my favoured Mahle filter.

The model has the old mag Zenoah 45, and the thought of not having an electronic cut off did not sit well with me! No way to turn off the motor in the event of a servo failure or lost signal! surprise Just Engines had just the ticket....

It’s taken ages as usual!

Nearly there now. Ran the motor at the weekend and it ran a treat after a plug swap. Not bad considering it hadn’t run for over ten years surprise

John, do you remember if yours had the cowl baffled for cooling? This one hasn’t so I am wondering whether it needs it.

other than that, just balance set the throws and then the maiden beckons....

I can't say owt, I've models allover the place not finished.

No baffling on mine Rich, and no overheating issues.

Thanks Adrian (I have the added pressure of my old school friend being there for the maiden - since he built the model!!! surprise)

Looking forward to your build yes
