Mark,

The cnc pack contains the fuselage formers, fuselage sides S1 to S4, tail and wing ribs and a few other bit and pieces...mostly all the time consuming bits that are a pain to cut out

...further wood is as listed on the plan.

How come folks dont like cutting out parts .  For me its part of the creative purpose . Or am I part of a dying breed ?

The build photos show an electric motor; will it take an IC?

Yes, both options are shown on the plan.

I'm going to go electric, but it looks like you have to take the wing off to change the battery, could be a bit of a pain, but a small inconvienance, I wonder if it is worth modifying to include a battery hatch?

This model is a MUST for me to build! I'll be going for the IC version as I'm one of these middle-aged chaps that really don't mind cleaning a model after a days flying. In fact, one of my mentors said it was good way of checking for incidental damage.

As for the CNC pack, I'm with Myron on this one. If you're going to build then build; if you want to ARTF then ARTF!

The problem I have is I don't think my thumbs are up to the challenge of piloting a model of this class... but I do enjoy building!

Doug I have no direct experience with this model but I would not expect it to be a problem flying it. It is not a Spitfire, it should not be much different to a low wing sport model like an Acrowot. Go for it, let us know how you get on!

Dear Tony, I am a deeply in love with Yakovlev planes such as Yak 18t, Yak 9 and Yak 52. I have search plans about them but I have not found them. I would like you to design this planes some day. They are very little known but very beautiful. Many thanks and sorry for my boldness. Regards.

The build photos are great!

It would be a great help if this sort of help was available with every set of free plans for us rookies at building.

I was looking at the plane and I intend to load the battery from the front I not sure how this would work out as the formers could be in the way.  It would help getting the CofG forward though.  I intend to use a Hyperion 4025-10 which is quite a heavy lump up front.

Cheers

Kris
