Hi All

The fuel pump on my OS 91 is not drawing fuel and a replacement is over £50 !!!!!!!!!!!   i cant find any leaks from the presure hose from the crankcase to pump so must assume a fault with the diaphram in the pump. Has anyone tried repairing the pump ? or can i just bypass it straight to the carb, fit a pressure nipple to the silencer and pressurise the tank ?

all suggestions welcomed

Rich ( penny pinching, credit crunch busting, tight wad supreme)

Hi Richard . As far as i am aware you can bypass the pump and fit a pressure nipple ;at least that was possible on the ealier pump. If the motor draws fuel as normal by priming and continues to draw whilst runn then it will be ok.

cheers Philip

i will give it a try before i shell out on a pump. Didn't buy engine for the pump, only bought because the price was no dearer than a non pumped model.
