One of my sons is a carpenter, and when we were at the local Howdens Joinery recently I spotted this glue at just £3.99 per litre so suggested that he bought some because I am fed up with him pinching my aliphatic.

Tried a couple of test pieces and it really does set a fair bit in 10 mins once the parts are squeezed together. Sets quite hard and appears to be sandable.

Currently putting the lower wing skin on my new Spitfire with it.wood glue 001.jpg

Slight snag is that Howdens is trade only but the name and address of the manufacturer is pictured if you fancy trying to get some.

Have you tried this one, Tim? I wonder if it sands better than PVA?

No not tried D4. Local stockist has 502 at £1.25 for 500ml so use that at bargain price!!

i have been using Gorilla Wood Glue recently. I have been quite impressed with it and its cost effective. I bought a big bottle and decanted into a small bottle with a nozzle. It dries hard but not brittle and is sandable
