Gosh, I remember that weekend well ( backrow- white T-shirt). Great time and a lovely chat with BEB.

The book was a fantastic idea. I feel honoured to be in the photo with him and fellow Tucano builders at Greenacres. Many thanks to BEB for everything he did for us. He certainly won’t be forgotten.

All....

As David noted above we have put together a "Book of Condolence" for Dave's family containing all the kind & thoughtful comments expressed by the forum members. It also contains a few pictures of DB as I am sure he would like to be remembered, with fellow forum members at various fly-ins over recent years.

I thought I would share a few pictures of the book.

My thanks to David Ashby for the pictures & to Chris Bott who did all the hard work downloading all the posts from this thread.

The document will be presented to Dave's family during his Funeral on Monday.

With special thanks to all members who posted their condolences.

Well done everyone, this is entirely appropriate considering Dave's huge involvement in aeromodelling in so many ways.

At the service today I handed two copies of the forum book of condolences to Owen (Dave's son) who was very grateful and expressed his thanks to everyone. Thanks go to Steve for preparing these.

Only just heard of Dave's passing, belated condolences to his family, I shall miss his comments on this forum. Living the other side of the globe I never met Dave in person but feel like I have lost a friend.

A great loss indeed. I had never met Dave but had followed many of his posts especially on the 2016/7 mass build threads. My condolences to his family.

Thanks Dan.

Just in passing, Dave’s club mate, Colin Martin, flew Dave’s BlackHorse Sea Fury at the fly-in last weekend. It’s the model Dave used in his electric flight series and fly well it did.
