I'm in the need of a cheap scroll saw, I've managed without one since I came back into the hobby. Must be in working order, spare blades available & within 50 miles from Southport or in a box substantial enough to trust to a carrier.

I have one which has now been replaced with an Axminster Tools Jet. The original was from B&Q and has a much more substantial cast iron plate but it suddenly started to break blades at an alarming rate. The Jet one did this too at one time so it is a case of getting the blade correctly aligned. I normally expect 12 months use from a blade.

If anyone wants it it can be collected from Aylesbury.

I bought a brand new Aldi scroll saw twelve months ago on a whim because they were on special offer.

It's not even been taken out of its original box, so that's how much I needed it!

£30 collected from near Coleshill or you organise a courier at your expense.

The Aldi/Workzone ones are OK. I think I got mine for £60 but others here reported them at less. I'm happy with mine although I find my small Axmister band saw much more useful.

Hi Shep. Can you PM your address size of the box & weight & how you want paying & I'll have it collected. A picture would be nice to.

I use my scroll saw for almost everything thicker than 3/32nd". Only way to get a good vertical cut. Cannot imagine life without it.

Just a quick word of thanks in public to Martin.

I’m now the happy owner of his surplus scroll saw. It’s been successfully recommissioned and is working well in my workshop. No broken blades as of yet.........

Thanks once again Martin.
