I ordered a fan, the only problem I have now is deciding which model to build for it! I like the Provost, your Gnat is stunning Tony but I already have your plan for the Sabre... Do you have an EE Lightening on the drawing board by any chance?

Thanks again......The Hawk may well get another reincarnation Hugh.... although i have just modified the old Pusher Lightning I did a few years ago with a single 50mm fan..... Also a TSR2 is being sribbelled at the moment.....one of my favourites

Thanks for that Ron, sounds promising. I will just have to be patient but build a Sabre in the meantime as the fan arrived today smiley.

the Gnat looks most impressive; I'm hanging out for the plan and not the free one if it is quicker in delivery

I have joined the lusting followers and have also ordered 2 fans, there appears to be a bit of discount on them at the moment.

@Tony - did you give any thought to the 4s version of the fans?

A10 Warthog more like, or if you are into civil stuff, a Learjet?

Apart from looking great, what impresses me most Tony is that you've designed an EDF model with a duration of 7-8 minutes. Against typical EDF models, including foamies, that's quite an achievement.

MMmmmmm, a Learjet!!

I've already ordered a Fan Unit in anticipation of the Hunter or Provost plan.
I have fond memories of my Airfix 1/72 Provost. It would be nice to have a flying model.

Hold tight guys, will post some footage of both the Gnat and the Provost flying and taken yesterday evening.....

The Oracover does finish the model off beautifully, especially the Yellow Gnat...really good solid colour but it is heavy....with that and the cockpit detail, another 4oz was added to the AUW. However, both just carried the extra weight with no issues and probably perfomed better.

The Provost needed a little more nose weight due to the covering so I had to add some lead in the nose!!!....needles to say i going to move from the 2800 and try a 3200mah 3S lipo and then remove the nose weight......

With the 2800 pack i was getting a good 7mins so hoping to push the 10min barrier with the 3200mah.....

Hi Tony

I'm really keen to build the Provost, I've got the fan ready and balsa a-plenty, can we buy the plan from you...…?

If not maybe the Hunter?
