Hi!

I am a new subscriber of the RCM&E Magazine. I have in my fleet, an old warbird, and someone said it was a C.A.P kit.

I am interested in finding a plan or a copy of a plan for this plane. It is a P47 Thunderbolt 61" Bubbletop with Glenn T. Eagleston Decals.

I am also missing the cowl, so something that can help me make or buy a new one is interesting...

I have a feeling that the CAP plans were later published, possibly by Traplet, in which case this one might be a match.

CAP have been acquired by another company and i think they are going to be reproducing them. Not sure if i can give the details, i will check on tuesday and let you know. In the meanwhile, Bobs link looks good

Good News!

I have got a contact in Sweden who owns a mold for the cowl to a CAP P-47 Thunderbolt.

He will make a cowl for me. not expensive.

So now I am happy! smiley

Jon, You are spot on. Traplet publications originally took on the CAP Range of plans. These have now been taken over by Sarik Hobbies and the plans / Mouldings for both the Bubble top and Razor back versions are available. Just go to their website and type in Thunderbolt, they will come up then

There are two 61” Thunderbolts, I believe the correct one is MW2104 because this is the plan in the kit I have, cowls are also available.
