Trying, (in vain!), to find a UK supplier of XACTO products.

I'm looking for a new '#2' size Handle, (the chuck became too loose on my old one).

Have XACTO stopped shipping to the UK as uneconomic with so many cheap far eastern copies of seemingly everything circulating?

If no XACTO, would welcome alternate suggestions for a 'collet' style handle.

The 'DuBro' hinge kit I have #2 size blades for are quite wide approx. 9mm at the shank end.

Thanks for any assistance.

TJD Models, I see handles and blades when there recently. I find Xacto in the plastic tubes the shapest blades around.

The only eBay XACTO ones I can find are located in the States!

Just looked/searched TJD Models site, showing handles as 'Out-Of-Stock', but will ring Tuesday to enquire.

Yep, the blades are good, (have plenty of those in my tool-chest), just need a working #2 size handle that will hold them and the DuBro hinge cutting blades.

I get mine from here.... /www.scalpelsandblades.co.uk

I'm not sure if they have XACTO stuff, as I use Swan Morton. Get my blades a couple of hundred at a time......

Get a Swann Morton scalpel - the Retractaway is best. Not very dear - check around they vary in price - and blades are easy to obtain and cheap.

However if you really want an Xacto type there are very very cheap sets which have a similar chuck type handle, but might be cheap and nasty. Look in Pound shops etc.

No.2 Xacto handle, £5.78 from a UK supplier, Just as you asked Kremen:

.....and the rest of their Xacto range:

Proedge is also a quality make I use and if you want cheaper but can wait I have no problems recommending the german made Aldi/Lidl sets when they're available. Avoid the Poundland type, they have plastic collets.
