Presented by Battle Scars, Executive Director (2006 - 2014) Tom Hinderks.

He talks about the legacy of the Canadair Sabre F-86, the Alberta Aviation Museum's F-86 is the first Canadair built copy (CL-13) of the American military jet.

Later versions of this fighter were the mainstay of the RCAF during the 1950's as a result of Canada's entry into NATO and its need for a modern front-line fighter.

Legendary Fighter Looks Good Wherever it Flies!

ALL eyes craned skyward as the sound the F-86 became audible... and the only person enjoying it more had to be the guy on the stick... Captain Dale "Snort" Snodgrass.

The Bremont Horsmen were supposed to perform their show with 3 F-86 Sabres, but on Sunday, the day the video was shot, two of them landed before their performance even began.

Luckily the remaining aircraft was able to do some passes including a Heritage Flight at the end of the video.

Live target drones, radio controlled full size, 1975.

The final use of many of the F-86F Sabre Jets, as live fire target drones at the Naval Weapons Center China Lake.

It's a shame to see these beautiful jets blown out of the sky, but at the same time its really awesome to see the beautiful jets blown out of the sky.

This video is produced by the Department of the Navy and was made in about 1975.

Film footage of the Minutemen Aerial Acrobatic Team from the Colorado Air National Guard. This was the first and only Air National Guard flying acrobatic team that demonstrated along with the likes of the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels back in the 1950's.

At Peterborough Ontario Canada, by the Riverview Park & Zoo to see the vintage F86 Sabre jet fighter aircraft on static display. Erected in 1971 and recently it was taken down and given a new paint job by a local company "Flying Colours". A piece of real world history you can see up close.

Retired RCAF Brigadier General Paul Hayes tells the story of his experiences training the new German Luftwaffe in Canadian F-86 Sabres during the 1950s.

Corrections after watching the video by a fellow called :- Diemerstein

On Erich Hartmann, he was never shot down, he crashed a few planes because he had a tendency to fire on enemy planes from close distance and ended up flying through the debris causing damage to his fighter. As for the number of kills, it officially 352 confirmed kills, also he is not just the highest German ace, he is the highest scoring ace of all times, a record that will stand till the end of man kind. He was not captured by the Soviets, he surrendered to the Americans at the end of the war, who turned him and his wing over to the Soviets.
