Mark, Thanks for posting the CAC Sabre clips. Useful information for my CA-27 version which is essentially the same airframe.

Two bad movie trailers coming up.

A follow on from Martin Gay's thread where Alan Gorham found this 'sombre' scheme.

EX-Luffwaffe Sabre 6 - N1039C (s/n 1600 )

Briefly wore this 'sombre' colour scheme in November 1979 for its role in a motion picture 'The Last Chase'

Starred Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith.

The Last chase trailer from the original vhs or betamax !!!

The writer of the original script was his first ever movie script that he wrote at age 22 which was in 1970 and he now absolutely hates how bad the movie came out!

Penguin Vs The Six Mllion Dollar Man
Of course it's the 'Penguin' played by Burgess Meredith -Vs - ' The Six Mllion Dollar Man' played by Lee Majors.

Golden Hawk Appreciation Day

This clip is taken from the original film footage of the dedication of an F-86 Sabre in RCAF Golden Hawk colours in Chatham, NB on September 16, 1967.

The event took place on Golden Hawk Appreciation Day as part of Chatham's 1967 Centennial celebrations. The video producer gives thanks to the family of the late Group Captain W. R. Cole for donating the film to the Museum and usage.

The CAC Sabre, sometimes known as the Avon Sabre or CA-27, is an Australian variant of the North American Aviation F-86F Sabre fighter aircraft.

The F-86F was redesigned and built by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC). Equipping five RAAF squadrons, the type saw action in the Malayan Emergency in the late 1950s, and was employed for air defence in Malaysia and Thailand in the 1960s.

Ex-RAAF models also saw service with the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force (Wikipedia). It now stands at the roundabout leading to the Royal Military College (RMC) at the Sungai Besi, military camp.

Aerobatic Team Lanceri Neri 2a Aerobrigata F86E

With the F-84F the "Throwing Throws" of the 5th Aerobrigata return, which in 1959 gave birth to a new formation whose debut took place in Rieti. In view of the 1960 Rome Olympics the planes were decorated with the five Olympic rings on the drift, coupled with bright colours.

In 1960 the "Getti Tonanti" perform the coveted task of representative patrol of the AM, whose debut takes place in Rimini, home of the 5th Airbath. The performances take place with a formation of six F-84F (5 + 1) which, in addition to an already extensive repertoire, present a new acrobatic figure, the jet or fan.

The Rimini based exhibition is followed by many others in Italy and abroad.

Jet Warbird Arrivals

Two F-86 Sabres and a MiG-17 Fresco arrive at the 2018 TBM Avenger Gathering in Peru, IL.

F86-F is the one of the best fighters on the air show scene.

Looks like the MiG is quite a handful to land in a crosswind.

The F-86 and Mig 15 do grab attention at a air display.

This model aircraft was flown in November 2018 jet meeting in Tokoroa New Zealand, filmed by XJet a regular YouTube broadcaster.

This is it's maiden flight and the first landing was made without flaps due to some unwanted roll-coupling that resulted from flap deployment. The pilot was also unfamiliar with the brake positioning on the transmitter so failed to stop before the end of the sealed runway. No damage was done, however you can see a bit of grass stuck to the wing when he taxis back.

So good close - ups in this video.

Control Surfaces on the F86 Sabre.

Great details on the aircraft like the auto LE slats, and notice especially the detail of the front radius actuation of the 'All Moving Tailplane' seen at video time 00.22 onwards.
