Orange RX R620X.

Wanted to order a couple more of these excellent recievers from Hobby King today and find that they have been discontinued along with it seems the rest of the range.

Anyone know what happened to them?

Can anyone recommend a full range rx which doesn't involve me remortgaging the house?

The unfortunately named "Lemon" perhaps?

I have four Lemon receivers, two 6 channel and two 7 channel stabilised.

The 6 channel receivers have removable antennae which can easily pop off so they are hot glued on to prevent mishaps.

The 7 channel stabiliser works well and copes well with gusty conditions.

No hesitation in recommending them

I have several Redcon rxs from Banggood and they have proved to be very good and at under £7 Whoopee!

I used to buy Orange rx regularly with my DX9.. until they brought out the twin red antenna 615.. then nothing but trouble.... (suspected copies but never proved...)

Switched to lemon rx on advice of others .. bullet proof and wont buy anything else...

I too noticed that Orange seem to have disappeared as has their web site.

You can order directly from the Lemon web site and delivery is prompt.

The 7 channel stabiliser is indeed very good. My third one will go into my as yet unfinished Depron AN124.

I note the stab gain control is powerful so follow their recommendation to initially set it at no more than 50%. wink 2

Another big thumbs up for the 7 channel Redcon - several all proving ultra rock solid. Also have Lemon 6,7 & 10, all diversity and all excellent. However you might want to check but I don't think the stabilized 7 has a failsafe option ?

You are right ACE, no failsafe

But in this case I added the low cost add on failsafe into the throttle servo lead

You just set your throttle to low

Then press the button on the small board in the middle of the lead

At loss of signal, the required action operates

The stabilised 7 channel receiver by default will shut the throttle and maintain last good control surface position on loss of signal, however you can define your own failsafe by setting the required control positions and pressing the button on the receiver. Mine is set to low throttle and stabiliser in position 2 so, in theory, if signal is lost the motor cuts and the stabiliser rights the model and flies it straight and level until signal is regained.

As an aside to my original question, I use satelites with my orange recievers and have quite a few of them. Does anyone know if the orange DSMX satelites are compatible with the Lemon recievers? Thanks for your help and recommendations guys. Mike.
